Whatever

“Oh my God, what are you doing to my body!” Teresa shrieked in my voice. I had forgotten how high my old voice could go,not that I was hitting Mariah Carey notes before. Teresa sure loved to make my body sound squeaky.

“Hey, hey, hey, for this experiment to work, the therapist said that we had to fully sink into our roles and really feel…”

“How about you feel my hand across your face?” Teresa interrupted before I could finish.

“You wouldn’t,” I dared.

“You’re right I wouldn’t, because I wouldn’t want to mess up my perfect face, kind of like you’re doing right now,” Teresa continued to complain. “Just dress normal!”

“This IS normal for me!” I responded, though I knew it meant nothing to her.

“I swear, if that hair dye isn’t temporary, I’m going to tell mom and dad, and they’re going to pull us from this stupid program.”

I pretended to be scared, waving my hands in sarcastic terror “Oh no, you’re going to cry to mom and dad. waaaaaaah”

“Yeah, and they’re going to give me your half of the study money” She said snobbishly.

“Whatever,” I flipped off my sister and skated off to do my own thing.
